Sona Mohapatra on Katy Perry and Dua Lipa: Maybe meet the real rockstars and music makers of India

Lipa. In a long Instagram post, Sona addressed both the singers and called them out for not meeting any singers and music makers from India during their visit.

She wrote, “Dear @katyperry & @dualipa , Would you not have liked to hang out, speak music & learn a bit more about our glorious musical traditions with the real Rockstars & Music Makers of India?” (sic)

In her post, Sona asked both the singers why they did not meet any singers and real Rockstars & Music Makers of India’ when they were in the country for their concert.

Sona even invited the two to attend the centuries old celebration of Bali Jatra, which she is playing for in Odisha. She further wrote, “This is one of Asia’s biggest turnout & oldest celebration.”

Both Katy Perry and Dua Lipa were in India for the OnePlus Music Festival which took place on November 16 in Mumbai at the DY Patil stadium.

Before their concert, both the singers had hung out with Bollywood celebrities. Karan Johar even threw a lavish welcome bash for Katy Perry at his residence. The event was attended by the biggest names in Bollywood including Malaika Arora, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others.

As for Dua Lipa, she met Shah Rukh Khan before her concert. Shah Rukh even took to social media to post pictures of the meet and even wrote a post praising the New Rules hit-maker.
