JEE Main 2020: NTA clarifies doubt on Gujarati language, question paper to be in English, Hindi & Gujarati
National Testing Agency, NTA has clarified all the doubts revolving around Gujarati as the optional language in JEE Main examination for the last few days. JEE Main 2020 examination will be conducted in the same languages as before-English, Hindi and Gujarati language. The Gujarati language will be only relevant for candidates of Gujarat.
The Agency has released anwhere it has cleared all the questions raised by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee who asked why was JEE Main, which is a national level engineering entrance examination picking only one regional language. Mamta Banerjee has also asked for JEE Main to be conducted in all regional languages and called the ‘selective’ choice of Gujarati regional language as an option as centre’s intention of ‘maligning all regions and regional languages’
The JEE Main 2020 examination will be conducted from January 6 to January 11, 2020 across various centres in the country. The examination will be Computer Based test and will be conducted in two shifts – first shift from 9.30 pm to 12.30 pm and second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
