Apple has released the next generation of operating system for Mac computers. The macOS has undergone a major makeover with the latest macOS 10.15 Catalina. The operating system brings major new features along with performance improvements.

Mac Photos App has received a complete makeover with a new home-screen, organisation views, video autoplay function. The new app also helps in removing duplicates and clutter. The app is powered by AI to determine your best shots.

Notes and Reminders

The Notes application has received a complete makeover. It now gets new gallery view, shared folders and powerful search function. You can even search text in scanned documents with Notes app. Reminders app has been overhauled as well. It now integrates with Messages and smartly set reminders. The app automatically presents an organised lists of your tasks based on categories including Today, Flagged, Scheduled, or All.

Find My app and Screen Time

Apple has clubbed the Find Friends and Find My iPhone into a single app. You can now find a device even if it is offline. Another feature that is replicated from iOS is the Screen Time. You can set communication limits for your on all your devices. You can also see which apps and websites and apps are keeping you and your family busy.

Voice Control

Voice Control has been a major part of computers for over a decade. Apple has improved the Voice Control on Mac with Siri AI smarts. It works for both computer control and voice dictation. You can add custom words and suggested words as well.

Twitter app

Twitter had apparently stopped the development work on its Mac app. The social networking firm has announced a new app exclusively for macOS Catalina. The app is built using Catalyst, the framework that enables users to port their iPad apps on Mac.
