IBPS RRB PO Prelims 2019 Exam Analysis: Moderate – experts share Officer Scale I Prelims expected cut-off

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, IBPS has conducted one slot of the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Preliminary Examination 2019. Candidates are informed to note that the expected cut off is based on the feedback received by experts from those who have appeared in the examination. Since it is a computer base examination, the exact questions are not available. Experts, however, suggest that the overall pattern has not shifted much.

IBPS RRB PO Prelims or Officer Scale I preliminary examination had two sections – Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates have reported that the Reasoning Ability section was difficult while the Quantitative Ability section was relatively moderate. Based on the type of questions shared by the candidates, experts have shared a basic cut off which is provided below.

Experts are at present compiling the information shared by the candidates. A complete exam analysis is expected towards late evening today. Also, the expected cut off may be revised once the complete exam analysis is compiled.

Overall, however, experts point out that the expected cut off remains within the one shared. Also, preliminary examinations are only qualifying in nature. In other words, the use of preliminary examination is only to shortlist candidates for the main examination. The marks scored by the candidates in prelims would not be considered for final shortlisting/ selection for RRB PO positions.
