Notorious underworld don Ravi Pujari jumps bail to escape from Senegal: Reports
Notorious underworld don Ravi Pujari who was arrested from Senegal on January 21 this year and was granted bail by a local court last week has reportedly escaped from the West African country. The Senegalese government has, however, not made any official confirmation.
Sources in Karnataka Police told The Times of India that they had received information about Pujari’s escape by road to a different country.
However, they acknowledged that this has not been officially confirmed by the Senegalese government. An Interpol Red Corner Notice has been issued against Pujari and there are over about 200 cases pending against him in India alone for extortion and murder.
While India is trying hard to bring the fugitive mafia don deported to the country, Pujari, however, has got a false fraud case registered against himself in Senegal to avoid deportation. As per the rule in Senegal, any person who is facing charges in the country cannot be deported until and unless he faces all the charges in the court of law.
